Title:Constraints to pion polarizabilities: from di-photon amplitude analysis

Speaker:Prof. Ling-Yun Dai, Hunan University

Abstract

In this talk we perform a comprehensive amplitude analysis on photon-photon scattering into pion and kaon pairs. To constrain our hadronic amplitudes of /pi/pi scattering, we impose the precise /pi/pi-->/pi/pi and /pi/pi-->K Kbar amplitudes given by Roy, or Roy like equations as well as the experimental data. With these hadronic amplitudes and the high statistics datasets of photon-refusion, we apply Final State Interaction theorem and dispersion relations to obtain the final solutions. These amplitudes are rather helpful to constrain the pion polarizabilities.

About speaker:

Prof. Ling-Yun Dai obtained his bachelor degree from Lanzhou University in 2007 and his Ph.D. degree from Peking University in 2012. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at Jefferson Lab (2012-2014), Indiana University (2014-2015), and Forschungszentrum Juelich (2015-2018) before he joined Hunan University in 2018. His main interest includes effective field theories and strong interacting systems.
